About
Stanchev is an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Balkan Studies with Centre of Thracology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Junior Researcher at the PREVEX Team of the Centre for Advanced Study Sofia. He holds a PhD in Russian history from Sofia University. The topic of his dissertation is “Nationalism and Dynamics of Identity of the Volga Tatars (19th – end of 20th century)”.
Currently, Stanchev participates in the National Program “Young Scientists and Postdoctoral Students” funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of Bulgaria.
