Morten Bøås

About

Bøås is a Research Professor at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) and the project initiator of the PREVEX project. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Oslo, Norway.

Bøås has conducted fieldwork in a number of regions in conflict, including North Africa and the Sahel. He works predominantly on issues concerning peace and conflict in Africa, including issues such as land rights and citizenship conflicts, youths, ex-combatants and the new landscape of insurgencies and geopolitics.
