Tine Gade

About

Gade is a Senior Research Fellow at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) and works predominantly on issues related to contentious politics and state-society relationships in the Middle East. She holds a PhD in Political Science and a master’s in Comparative Politics from Sciences Po in Paris.

Gade has previously worked as a Max Weber postdoctoral fellow at the European University Institute in Florence, and as a senior lecturer at the Department of Culture Studies and Oriental Languages at the University of Oslo. She has conducted in-depth fieldwork in Lebanon and Iraq, and has resided in Egypt and Syria.
