PAVE and PREVEX Final Conference: Preventing violent extremism – Strengthening local community resilience

Preventing violent extremism – Strengthening local community resilience

On the 18th of April PREVEX held its Final Conference in Bruxelles, together with its sister-project PAVE

At this half-day event, we presented key findings from our projects, exchanged on the implications of our research with key EU stakeholders and discussed our joint policy recommendations on the prevention of violent extremism (PVE). PAVE and PREVEX have worked on issues concerning radicalisation, journeys to extremism, and community resilience in the Western Balkans, the Middle East, North Africa and the Sahel for over three years. Joining forces in a final conference allowed us to show the depth of the research of the two projects, present concrete policy outputs resulting from the research, and build on the important synergies that have emerged as we increasingly have discussed our findings, taken part in various joint dissemination activities, and made plans for follow-up activities.
